eSentire, a Canadian technology and security services company, said on Tuesday that it had raised $14 million in a series C investment round led by Georgian partners, with Cisco Investments and Northleaf Venture Catalyst Fund taking part.
eSentire said that it secures the networks of more than 450 financial services companies, law firms and healthcare provider and protecting more than $2 trillion in combined assets.
Managing Partner Simon Chong said: “eSentire has established itself as a true market leader displacing and out-pacing its larger counterparts.”
eSentire said it would use the funds to expand its technical capabilities and fuel its grow by expanding its services offerings, branching out into new sectors including critical infrastructure.
Existing investors Edison Partners and VentureLink also particiapted in the latest round.The company also said it plans to hire 40 new positions in its Cambridge-Ontario based research facility.
